This study dealt Damascus during the 19th century included a political and cultural study, with a focus on the most important historical period during thiscentury. Under Ottoman rule, the city experienced notable political and cultural development. Damascus served as an important administrative center, being the seat of an Ottoman province. It also held a significant position as a cultural and intellectual hub in the world, as it brought together diverse cultures and various civilizational influences from around the globe.
