Abstract: This topic addresses Africa's economic situation in the Aghlabid state era, In this era, 184 - 296 Africa witnessed prosperity in all economic aspects, either agriculture, industry or trade, especially after the difficult period that Africa went through during the era of the Umayyads and abbasids, which witnessed a further deterioration at the political, social and economic levels . The Bani Aghlabid state took care of the agricultural aspect, reclaimed the agricultural lands and took care of them, also the ownership of these lands varied during this period . In addition, it witnessed a development at the level of irrigation methods using modern machinery and irrigation system, which resulted in abundance and diversity in agricultural and animal crops . Furthermore; the reputation of trade in Africa became famous, as it had a sea trade front through which goods were exchanged with many countries. It also linked Africa commercially with the east, Morocco and the south with Sudan and Ghana . Moreover, Africa at that time had very prosperous markets in which different commodities operated according to a tight system. Africa also knew the majority of different industries, due to the large number of artisans and craftsmen in it .
