Abstract

In our research, we adiscussed the categories of society and their impact on intellectual life in the Fatimid era of Maghreb (296-362 A.H.), the "model category of caliphs", representing an important period in the history of the Fatimid State in Islamic Maghreb, which lasted about sixty-six years,despite the short period of their presence in the Maghreb countries, their achievements there were important and clear and extended after them for a long time, this research aims to clarify the extent to which the Fatimids contributed to the social and intellectual life by highlighting the groups from which the Fatimid community was formed in the Maghreb countries, in addition to the interaction of these groups with each other and how each group contributed in a specific field, and talking about the most important group in this society, which is a group Caliphs and the extent of their contribution to intellectual life in the Islamic Maghreb ,and reflecting the social and intellectual role that the caliphs played in changing the lifestyle ,as the role of the caliphs was not limited to attracting famous scholars and writers, even poets from different aspects only, but they themselves were scholars, writers and poets, and they established scientific centers Which played an important role not only in the dissemination but culture and science in general.
