dc.description.abstractThe topic of this sudy deals with the problem of secularism and religion for the Lebanese thinker Nassif Nassar. He tried to define the general features of defining secularism and its relationship to other concepts such as customs, traditions, justice, politics, and especially religion. He concluded giving us a new concept of secularism that is determined through That secularism is trying to be fair between different three basic concepts, namely: religion, reason, and politics, and between Nassif Nassar through his definition of secularism, as not leaving, disbelief, or breaking away from religion, as much as it is defining or giving religion its scope, and The mind is its field and politics its field, and thus he reached a new concept of secularism, which denies the negative view of secularism, and this gives us more openness in contemporary Arab thought on the subject of secularism as it happened in Western thought previously, in proportion to the cultural reference of the Arab world towards building a scientific society Secular.en_US
