Abstract: The role of the family in educating children about citizenship (a field study on some families - the first of November neighborhood - Qantara) This study started from a central question: - How does the family contribute to the education of citizenship in its local and global dimensions for children? In order to answer the question posed and our reliance on the results of previous studies, the following hypotheses were put forward: The family has a role in strengthening the national belonging of the children. The family has a role in developing the social responsibility of children. - The family has a role in promoting the cultural diversity of children. The aim of the study was defined as follows: - Disclosure of the family's contribution in both its local and global dimensions to children. - Recognizing the role of the family in strengthening the national belonging of children. - Recognizing the role of the family in developing the social responsibility of children. - Exposing the role of the family in education to consolidate the cultural diversity of children. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisting of (33 phrases) was prepared and distributed to an intended sample of (100 families) across the Kantara district of Biskra Province. The descriptive approach was used, where the steps of the field study were drawn and linked to the theoretical side in order to reach the achievement of the objective of the study, as the follow-up of the approach ends with the analysis and interpretation of the results in order to reach conclusions to be considered an answer to the hypotheses put forward and proof of them. Thus, answering the main question, the results of the study were as follows: - The family promotes a sense of honor and national belonging to its children. The family prepares the individual to work in order to serve the nation. The family preserves the national property and teaches its children this act. The family works to advance the country by encouraging its children to study and strive. - The family seeks to train its children to take the initiative in assuming their responsibility. The family has an important role in the development of children's social behavior. The family teaches its children to respect others and respect their opinions. The family develops positive attitudes such as cooperation and methods of respect. - The family contributes to the promotion of cultural diversity by introducing its children to global variables. The family integrates the child into the general cultural framework of his society. - The family encourages the child to interact with others and also encourages him to acquire more than one language other than his official language, such as French and English.
