Abstract: Our study aimed to reveal the role of the guidance counselor and school and vocational guidance in achieving security awareness for students، by identifying the role of both media classes and guidance interviews conducted by the guidance counselor in the development and promotion of the concept of security awareness for students. What is the role of guidance counselors in developing security awareness among secondary school students To reach this goal، the questions of the study were asked as follows: what is the role of media classes performed by the guidance and counseling counselor in developing security awareness The second question is to study the role of counseling interviews conducted by the guidance counselor in the development of security awareness among students To answer these questions ،we relied on a set of chapters، the first chapter is the methodological framework for studying and the second chapter is an introduction for guidance and career guidance counselors، the third chapter، which is marked with security awareness from a psychological perspective، and the fourth chapter in which we discussed، and we relied in our study on the descriptive approach because it is the most appropriate with the nature of our subject، and we applied the questionnaire form to the survey sample consisting of (13) of guidance and guidance counselors in the zariba Valley district "Biskra"، and this study resulted in the following:: The role of the guidance counselor and school and vocational guidance is pivotal in achieving security awareness in educational institutions. It should be noted that the information sessions conducted by guidance counselors and guidance، which are related to security awareness، have an important role in promoting a culture of security awareness among students. Where he performs a range of tasks ، and among his tasks activities are guidance counselor and guidance in the field of media: ▪ Activates and activates the documentation and information Cell، which is the main source for providing and archiving information documents، and also approaches the Centers and bodies concerned to provide information material. ▪ Organizes information classes for the benefit of students and teachers ▪ An attempt to exchange information with various institutions and centers in order to renew information. Based on the above، we can tell guidance counselors and guidance counselors a role in developing security awareness among students، through the guidance interviews conducted by students that have to do with security awareness، through the interviews that he does periodically، the student feels responsible for the results of his actions and solves his problems himself or with the help of those who see them are welcome to do so and explain to him all that is important and unclear.it is also clear that most guidance counselors use group interviews with students، which are conducted with a number of individuals and are used in the case of group counseling. The guidance counselor also has a great responsibility in maintaining a healthy and safe educational environment، where the more effective his role is، the more the study results will meet the expectations of those responsible for the educational process.
