Abstract: | In view of the changes and cognitive, scientific and technological developments in university libraries, self-formation has become one of the most important ways for information professionals to increase their skills and develop their abilities to cope with changes and challenges in their working environment, upgrade the service provided and gain the beneficiary’s satisfaction this is done only through a range of formative methods and methods.This study comes to see the see the reality of self-formation among the information specialists of university libraries the field study was conducted in the library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Mohammed Khaidar University, Biskra -Chettma- through which its data were collected from its information specialist based on simple observation and rationed interview tools, This study has reached a series of findings, the most important of which is that the information specialist in the library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences relies on selfformation to improve its performance despite the many problems that hinder it, and attempts and ndeavors by library operators to support this type of composition, but in a very small roportion |
