The study aims to measure the relationship between documentary research and teaching competencies among university professors in the Library Science Department at Mohamed Khider University in Biskra. The study employed a descriptive correlational methodology and used a questionnaire as the research instrument. The sample consisted of 12 professors. The study found no significant correlation between documentary research and the competencies of planning, implementation, and evaluation. This confirms the limited utilization of documentary research by the study sample to enhance their teaching and pedagogical competencies and its contribution to advancing scientific research. It emphasizes the need for awareness about the importance of documentary research in enabling professors to acquire knowledge transfer capabilities aligned with pedagogical objectives and competencies. This includes the construction of scenarios that accommodate students' abilities and differences, ultimately achieving the goals and objectives of teaching and building competent and successful studentsen_US
