dc.description.abstractThe marketing of information services through social networks in general and Facebook in particular constitutes an essential and important part within the service system of university libraries, because it enables them to provide value-added services and build a strong relationship characterized by permanent and continuous communication with all groups benefiting from its services, whether within their immediate surroundings or not. In order for these libraries to be able to improve their services in general, human, material and technological means and capabilities must be provided to market their services and reconsider their developmental strategies, especially with regard to new information technology, and develop plans and strategies based on a conscious awareness of the current and future needs of their usersWhere it was relied on the descriptive analytical approach being the most suitable for scientific research that pours into this context and that this study included the central library of the University of Muhammad KheidarBiskraQutbShatma as it was adopted in this study in collecting data on simple observation and the standardized interview and the most important findings of this study that it employs The social network Facebook in the marketing of information services and that there is a positive willingness on the part of the information specialist to market services and this is in order to improve its level and keep pace with the technology of the times and the development of the library and attract beneficiaries. Our study concluded that marketing information services via Facebook plays an important role in enhancing information services provided to beneficiaries in university librariesen_US
