Abstract

Today's world is a world of change and renewal, a scientific world that understands advanced modern technology, and a world where the Internet is widespread in it, as well as its applications that resulted in the emergence of the second generation of the Web, which bears several names such as dynamic sites directed to all groups with the intention of interacting and sharing opinions. The successive developments of information technology prompted libraries to change in Its objectives, roles, functions, and orientation towards the new generation interactive applications due to the various facilities it provides to all workers and beneficiaries in this field. This study came with the aim of knowing the use of Web 2.0 applications in providing the services of the main library for public reading, Al-Mujahid Mohammed Assami _ Biskra_, which uses some Web 2.0 applications to provide its services and meet the needs of its actual beneficiarie By analyzing and interpreting the results that were relied upon in the questionnaire, the study showed several results, including that the Public Reading Library Al-Mujahid Mohammed Assami _ Biskra_ aims to enhance communication between the library and its beneficiaries and increase awareness of the services it provides through the use of Web 2.0 applications. In light of the results, we presented a set of proposals that we hope will be taken seriously to improve the effectiveness of the library
