Abstract: In our research, we dealt with the topic of "the level of optimism and pessimism among women in late pregnancy", and the aim of this study was "to determine the level of optimism and pessimism among women in late pregnancy". We developed two hypotheses, the first which states that "women in late pregnancy have a high level of optimism", and as for the second hypothesis, "women in late pregnancy have a low level of pessimism". To verify the two hypotheses, we turned to the field side, in which we used the clinical approach, and applied the semi-directed interview and the "Arab List of Optimism and Pessimism" scale to three cases. Through the results obtained and from what was previously discussed, we reached the conclusion that the level of optimism and pessimism varies according to the personalities of the cases on the one hand, and the surrounding circumstances such as psychological and family support and social support on the other hand, where we found that the second case (A) who lives in an environment full of pressures Psychological and social problems and the absence of social support have a low level of optimism and a high level of pessimism, while the first two cases (f) and the third (n), who live in an environment that encourages and supports them psychologically and socially, recorded a high level of optimism and a low level of pessimism.
