Abstract: The current study aimed to identify "the nature of the relationship between attachment styles and the tendency towards drug abuse" among second year secondary students at Mawdaa Al Hashemi High School in the municipality of Chetma Biskra and also to identify the types of attachment styles prevalent among secondary school students in general, in addition to detecting differences according to the gender variable In attachment styles and attitudes towards substance abuse. The Correlative Descriptive Approach was used through the application of the attachment Scale styles by the researcher "Samia Mohamed Saber 2014", and the attitude scale towards drug use by the researcher "Abu Bakr Mohamed Morsi " regulated on the Algerian environment by the two researchers "Amira Shayeb and Samia Ibriem" on a study sample consisted of (101 ) Pupils . The obtained results were as follows: - The paradoxical attachment pattern is the most common pattern among second-year secondary students at Mawdaa Al-Hashimi Chetma High School. - There is a negative trend towards drug abuse among second year secondary students at Mawdaa Al Hashemi High School. - There are no statistically significant differences in attachment styles (safe, contradictory, and avoidant), while there are statistically significant differences in the unregulated attachment style dimension, and the differences are in favor of males. - There are statistically significant differences in the attitude towards drug use and the differences are in favor of males. - There is a negative and statistically significant correlation between the dimension of secure attachment style and the total score of the measure of attitude towards drug abuse. - There is no statistically significant correlation between the dimensions of 'contradictory-avoidant-disorganized attachment style' and the total score of the drug addiction measure.
