Abstract

The aim of the current study was to uncover the level of satisfaction and love for life among retired elementary school teachers. It was based on the following two questions: 1. What is the level of satisfaction among retired elementary school teachers? 2. What is the level of love for life among retired elementary school teachers? The study was based on two hypotheses: 1. There is a high level of satisfaction among retired teachers. 2. There is a high level of love for life among retired teachers. The study sample consisted of two retired female teachers from the state of Biskra, affiliated with the retired educators’ club. The clinical approach was applied, and data collection tools included clinical interviews and the following two scales: - The Satisfaction Scale by Majdi Mohamed Dessouki, adapted for the Algerian context by Dr. Maamria El-Bachir. - The Love for Life Scale by Mohamed Ahmed Abdelkhalek, adapted for the Algerian context by Fares Zain Al-Abidin. .The results confirmed the hypotheses and answered the research questions : In the presence of the love of life is high among the retired teachers in the primary stage, and with regard to the feeling of satisfaction, the hypothesis was fulfilled in the first case that it was high, and in the second case, the feeling of satisfaction was average
