Abstract: This study aimed to find out whether social phobia leads to low self-esteem among ,The illiterate mother , and trying to answer the question and verify the validity of the study hypothesis . This study was conducted in the detection and follow-up unit of BSAIRA FATMA in BISKRA, and we relied on : The clinical approach, where we conducted individual clinical interviews with 05 cases of illiterate mothers, and applied to them the ROLLIN'S social phobia scale and the COOPER-SMITH self-esteem scale And after analyzing the results of the study produced by the social phobia scale ,the self-esteem scale ,as well as the semi-directed clinical interview, we reached the following results : We hypothesized in the study hypothesis that social phobia leads to lower self-esteem in the mother illiteracy - This hypothesis was fulfilled ,as all study cases showed a high degree of social phobia manifested in feelings of unease and social withdrawal ,especially in social situations -All study cases also showed a low degree of self-esteem ,such as a sense of inferiority and inferiority and lack of self-confidence And from it we conclude that the hypothesis of the study : social phobia leads to low self-esteem of the mother illiteracy achieved . - Keywords : social phobia , self-esteem , illiterate mother .
