The study focuses on the character in the novel “The Murder of the Bookseller” by Saad Muhammad Rahim. The character played an important role in connecting and sequencing the events in the novel. Through it, we followed the following plan: Introduction: entitled “Adjusting Concepts and Terminology”; in which we touched on the linguistic and terminological concept of the character and its classifications, and the concept of the novel and its origin. Chapter One: entitled “Types of Narrative Characters in the Novel (Applied Study)”; in which we dealt with the main, secondary, and marginal characters. Chapter Two: entitled “Qualities and Dimensions of Narrative Characters in the Novel (Applied Study)”; in which we touched on the external and internal qualities of characters and their most important dimensions (social and cultural).en_US
