Abstract

This study seeks to stand on the application of the semiotic approach to the powerful short story collection of the writer "Masuda Kahman" in order to capture the meaning. This study dealt with an introduction, an introduction, and two chapters. The introduction we called: “The Essence of Narrative and Semiotics,” in which we dealt with the concept of narrative and semiotics. As for the first chapter, we titled it “Narrative Space-time Semiotics,” in which we studied the concept of time and space and how each of them manifested in the collection of stories. The second is entitled: “The Semiotics of Personalities,” in which we dealt with the concept of personality and its types in the collection of stories, and then concluded the research with the most important findings
