Abstract

This study deals with the dimensions of the character in KHAWLA HAMDI’S novel Yasmin AL Awda, in with concept of character is addressed as integral element in the novel despite the different Arab and views and tendencies to it. Of course, the study goes through the Importance of the character in advancing the novelist’s work. The novel is studies thoroughly by converting all of its dimensions starting with the social dimension that is concerned with the character’s environment and its culture. The other dimension of the character is the intellectual dimension that is concerned with the way of thinking of the character and its political, national and religious orientations. Also, the study of focuses on the psychological dimension, which includes the internal image of the character through the analysis of the behaviour and psychological conditions. Finally, the study explores the physical side of the character, which depends on the external form of the character in the novel
