Abstract

The end of the Umayyad era and the beginning of the Abbasid era was a period full of events, and this was reflected in the literature of that era, especially in poetry, which considered the mirror of poets that reflects their reality. In this research, we tried to shed light on one of the pillars of this period, a corner that talks about one of its poets, and he bore the name "Ibrahim bin Harmah", and we chose this character after showing us his collection that contains fine artwork and abundant pictorial methods. In this study I will extract graphic images in his poetry as metaphor, analogy, euphemism, metonymy. Also I will reveal the extent to which he was affected by the environment in which he lived because it was a turbulent environment. The research titled as "The Characteristics of the Pictorial Stylein Ibrahim Ibn Hermah's Diwan,"starts with an introduction, followed by two chapters, and then a conclusion. As for the introduction, we covered a general discussion of the work, and we relied on the descriptive analytical approach in this research. In the first chapter, which was titled "The Poet, Style and Painting: The Conceptual Framework,"we talked about the poet in general and tried to express the most important concepts that came in our research. In the poetry of "Ibn Hurmah", we extracted the most significant images he had. The conclusion came with the most important results that we came up with
