| Abstract: | This study aimed to highlight a significant element of discourse, which is the issue of indicators in their four types: temporal, spatial, personal, and social, in selected samples from the letters of "Al-Nazarat" by Mustafa Lutfi Al-Manfaluti. Indicators are considered the first degree of discourse that contributes to the cohesion of the textual discourse, and they emphasize the speaker's purposes and the references of time and place within the usage context in which they are mentioned. |
