Abstract

The subject of our study revolved around the image formed by the academics about the performance qualifications of the communicator in the Algerian TV at the Algerian University . In an attempt to search for a sample of media and communication professors at the Algerian university, the study relied on the survey method, using the “attitude measurement” questionnaire tool according to the five-point Likert chart in its electronic format to test a sample of 107 teachers of media and communication at Algerian universities . The following results have been reached : ✓ The picture of the formal qualifications that characterizes the communicator in Algerian television is represented in his reliance on the Arabic language in presentation and the process of visual communication with an attractive voice that suits the type of program he presents, and he carefully chooses his clothes and hairstyle. ✓ The image of the psychological and behavioral qualifications of the communicator on Algerian television is that he is characterized by innovation in the way of delivering the program and natural enthusiasm with the audience, taking into account the content he presents of the customs, traditions and values of society, and he has a medium level of intelligence and creative, critical and rational thinking in choosing topics and discussing them. ✓ Academics believe that among the ethical and professional qualifications of the Algerian TV communicator is humility, as he pays attention and appreciation to the audience and the work team, is honest in conveying information, and is keen to provide high-quality content in accordance with professional standards.
