Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the reality of cultural identity issues in Arabic digital content throughout a number of official pages of Algerian and Moroccan media institutions on Facebook. We attempted to uncover how the media tackles the issues of identity as far as aspect and content are concerned through the identification of the most significant issues addressed as well as the direction of these publications and their referential frame. In addition to identifying the different styles in which these publications have been presented and giving explanations to the results obtained with the assistance of specialists. In order to achieve the above-mentioned aim of this quantitative and descriptive study, the researcher relied on the analytical survey method through the use of a set of tools: the first of which is observation, which is adopted in the initial stage to identify the pages concerned with the study and determine the indicators of the different categories; the second is the content analysis tool, which is the main tool in this research, and we used it to analyze an intentional sample of 367 publications that were selected on the basis of specific criteria; and finally, the open interview tool, which we used with a group of specialists composed of five professors. Furthermore, certain hypotheses related to "media framing" theory are followed to clarify some facets of the subject. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: ✓ According to the study findings, religious issues are among the most discussed topics related to cultural identity, followed by historical issues, tangible heritage, customs as well as traditions, and lastly, linguistic issues. ✓ The results obtained showed that the most important linguistic issues mentioned in the pages of the media institutions concerned are mainly "Amazigh language issues," while "Jewish minority issues" were the most frequently mentioned religious issues. However, the feasts and popular celebrations came first with regard to tangible heritage, customs, and traditions. As for the historical issues, the first approached issues are the ones that treat "the history of the revolution and popular resistance." ✓ According to the results obtained, the " absolute positive trend" comes first, followed by the "zero trend," and as the findings regarding the publications on the pages of media institutions have revealed, "the political frame" comes first, followed by "the historical frame" in second place. ✓ Regarding comments, the "mocking comments" ranked first, followed by "hatred comments." ✓ The results of this study show that the Arabic language was the most used language in the total number of publications, followed by a "combination of standard and non-standard Arabic.
