Abstract: Through this study, we aim to know the importance of the diversification strategy in achieving the competitive advantage and its importance also in ensuring continuity and expansion through what we touched upon in this study, which was identified by an independent variable represented In the diversification strategy, we targeted the most important elements, which are the importance of diversification and its types represented in the interrelated, unconnected, internal, external, horizontal and vertical diversification, and the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy. We also discussed in our research the competitive advantage, which is a strategic goal that distinguishes the institution from its competitors, and we targeted the most important elements represented in the basics of building the competitive advantage from the determinants, sources and dimensions that are criteria for judging Its quality, as we concluded, that the diversification strategy plays an important role in achieving competitive advantage by its contribution to influencing profitability and competitive standing and the competitive strategy of the institution, Through a case study of ( Silas ) sample number ( 50 ), where data was collected from the target sample using the questionnaire ،To achieve the goal of the study, the statistical package for social sciences ( spss ) was used to analyze the questionnaire data, based on statistical methods ،The results of the study found that the strategy for diversification in products contributes to enhancing the competitive advantage of the ( Cilas ) and based on the results of the study, many recommendations were made, the most important of which was the need for economic institutions to expand the variety of its products, especially those associated with each other, to benefit from the multiple use of production methods. The institution’s reliance on diversification policy is one of the competitive advantages of the institution and its entry into several activities that helped it outperform competitors
