dc.description.abstractThe present study aims to explore the effects of role-play on improving learners’ speaking skill and communicating abilities. This work is mainly concerned with making use of role-play technique to maximize learners’ oral production. It also attempts to shed light on the importance of using this technique with students of foreign languages. The basic hypothesis adopted in this study sets out that effective use of role-play technique can help teachers to develop their students’ speaking skill and communicating abilities.This study is based on two questionnaire administrated to both the second year students and teachers of Oral Expression to get information about the impact of using role-play technique on developing the learners’ speaking skill. The findings of the questionnaire showed that both learners and teachers consider role-play as an important technique in enhancing the skill of speaking.en_US
