Electrical cables in copper for the transportation of electricity requires a compromise of mechanical - electrical resistivity. The drawing is accompanied by the formation of crystalline defects such as gaps and dislocations, leading to higher hardness, thus increasing the resistivity, a very important characteristic for conductivity and performance of the cable. The particular interest of this work is to propose a new range of appropriate thermomechanical treatment to improve mechanical and electrical characteristics of copper electrical wire. Different experimental methods were used in this regard, namely optical microscopy, Vickers hardness HV and corrosion tests.en_US
