Abstract: In the units of the avicolous breeding, potable drinking water constitutes a fundamental importance in any breeding activity as it promotes healthy animal nutrition, and represents an ideal support to receive and convey the drugs and the complements essential to the good development of the intensive breeding. The goal of this study is to analyze the bacteriological quality of water in the avicolous breeding on the level of certain wells in the region of Meknes and Gharb in Morocco. The extraction of various water samples was carried out during four periods of year 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Overall, 92 water samples were collected and conveyed to the laboratory for a bacteriological analysis. The bacteriological results show that the quantities of the germs found exceed the allowed standards in poultry water and therefore do not respect the minimum water potability requirements recommended for watering poultry. Using water from these wells, without preliminary treatment, could not only affect poultry productivity, but also put at great risk the population relying on these same wells for their daily water supply.
