Abstract: The present study aims to assess the water quality of some wells in poultry in the region of Meknes, their interpretation and their effects on health and production. Our study was conducted on water samples provenat different poultry farms left in the region of Meknes. The samples were mainly concerned broilers. The stations selected were chosen because of their importance in poultry but also and especially because they had some obvious differences between them (depth of water, nature of substratum, protection of wells and water use by the population local). The physico-chemical quality was determined by analysis of the total hardness, Nitrates, Nitrites the, Chloride, Iron, chlorine free and total, salinity, temperature and pH. While the bacteriological quality based on bacteriological parameters (total aerobic mesophilic flora, total coliforms, fecal coliforms, fecal steptocoques, Staphylococcus aureus and sulfite-reducing anaerobes). The results showed that the water of satisfactory quality perspective Nitrates, Nitrites, Iron and chlorine free and total. While the total hardness exceeds 50 ° F (standard recommends for poultry) for 30% of wells analysis even Chloride levels are elevated in 75% of wells analysis. On the bacteriological results showed that the bacteriological contamination of well water is considered almost universal. This is manifested by pollution levels far exceeding the quality standards of drinking water for poultry use (French GAAP).
