INTERCULTURALITÉ : DU NOM PROPRE À L’ESPACE, DANS LE CYCLE DE « DUNE » DE FRANK HERBERT

Abstract

Résumé La saga de Frank Herbert Dune a été l’un des chefs-d’oeuvre de la littérature de science-fiction de tous les temps par son style unique et surtout par sa richesse en matière de culture. Dans notre travail intitule « Interculturalité : Du nom propre à l’espace dans le cycle de Dune de Frank Herbert »nous avons tenté de déceler les traces de l’interculturalité en usant de l’onomastique et de la géocritique comme approches d’analyse. Le premier chapitre intitulé « Pour une analyse onomastique de Dune »est une étude faite sur les noms propres de notre corpus pour trouver une interprétation capable de nous mettre sur la piste de l’interculturalité. Pour le deuxième chapitre, « L’espace, entre fiction et réalité », nous avons appliqué l’approche géocritique dans notre analyse qui a confirmé notre position à propos de l’interculturalité présente dans l’oeuvre. Le dernier chapitre intitulé « L’interculturalité dans l’univers de Dune » est la partie où nous avons étayé nos arguments concernant la nature de notre corpus, nous avons aussi présenté les prémices d’une nouvelle étude sur l’aspect exotique dans les oeuvres de science-fiction pour l’entamer ultérieurement. Abstract Frank Herbert Dune’s saga was and still one of the biggest masterpieces in the world of science fiction literature, because of its unique style and its cultural richness. In our work that is entitled “Interculturality: from the Proper Name to the Space in the Cycle of Dune de Frank Herbert » We have tried to detect the traces of interculturality by Using onomastics and geocritics as approaches of analysis. The first chapter entitled: “For an onomastic Analysis of Dune” which is a study made on the proper names of our corpus to find an interpretation capable of putting us 56 on the trail of interculturality. In the second chapter entitled: “Space, between Reality and Fiction” in our analysis, we have applied the geocritic approach which confirmed our position in relation to the presented intercultrulity in this artwork. The last chapter entitled: “Intercultrulity in the Universe of Dune” is the part where we have supported our arguments about the nature of our subject matter, as well as we have introduced some claims of a recent study about the exotic aspect in the scifi literary pieces to display them later on.
