Abstract

The world has lived in recent decades and at various national, regional and international levels, a frightening growth of the phenomenon of corruption, whose scope has expanded and spread until it has become a behavior characterized by a comprehensive and widespread character surrounding all political systems, democratic or dictatorial, and with economic systems of their diversity, permeating all levels of development. Bearing in mind that tackling corruption is not limited to its official authorities, but also includes individuals and international organizations that should play an effective role in combating corruption. Despite the variation in the mechanisms and strategies put forward to combat the phenomenon of corruption regionally, internationally and at various levels, international reports confirm that levels of corruption and its practice are constantly increasing in many countries of the world, especially the Arab ones, which necessitated the intervention of states and governments to confront and deal with it, by approving many mechanisms And measures that international organizations have included in international anti-corruption conventions to unify efforts to reduce the severity of corruption in the future.
