dc.description.abstract | The general purpose of this thesis is to develop new finite elements based on the strain approach. In order to ameliorate the accuracy of the results, the static condensation technique has been used. Most of the finite elements developed by Sabir are characterized by a regular form and appropriate coordinates with the form of the element. To overcome this geometrical inconvenience; a new analytical integration is developed to evaluate the element stiffness matrix for the finite elements with distorted shapes. This will help to know how the elements will behave when they have irregular form, and to extend their applications domain for thecurved structures no matter what the geometrical shape of the element might be | en_US |
