Abstract

The current study aimed to find out the patterns of attachment and psychological resilience of the only son, by asking the following questions:  What are the patterns of attachment and psychological resilience of the only son?  How do attachment patterns appear in the only son?  What is the level of psychological resilience of the only son? In order to answer these questions, the clinical approach that fits the subject of the study was followed. We applied the attachment styles scale (Samia Mohamed Saber 2014) and the L’échelle de Hadiesse / Résilience scale, which was adapted and translated by Hamouda2016. We also conducted the clinical interview. Semi-oriented on the two cases (02) after analyzing the data that we obtained through the tools used. The obtained results showed that the only son is characterized by insecure attachment patterns, including the contradictory insecure attachment and the insecure refusal attachment. As for the level of psychological resilience, it appears in its low and high forms, and this is due to the extent of the examinee’s adaptation to the surrounding environment and his ability to face problème
