The current research basically sought to reveal the nature of the relationship Between emotional intelligence and health locus of control among adults with cardiac dysrhythmia who frequent private clinics in Biskra, Using the Descriptive relative method , and the sample included 52 patients with arrhythmias, whose ages were limited between 25 to 55 years were selected intentionally by distributing questionnaires in cardiology clinics for the city of Biskra. These variables were measured by the emotional intelligence scale (Omar Geagea, Hamel Mansour 2015) ,and the measure of health locus of control by Walston and others and adapted to the Algerian environment by (Noureddine Gebali 2007). The data obtained were analyzed by using statistical methods represented in the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson correlation coefficient by the statistical package for social sciences spss V20. The research problem was identified in the following questions: • What is the level of emotional intelligence among adults with arrhythmias attending private clinics in Biskra? • What kind of health locus of control prevails among adults with cardiac arrhythmias and attending private clinics in Biskra? • What kind of relationship exists between emotional intelligence and the source of health control in their dimensions among adults with cardiac arrhythmias and attending private clinics in Biskra? The study yielded the following results: • The level of emotional intelligence in the sample of adults with arrhythmias is lower thanaverage. • The source of health control prevailing in the sample of adults with arrhythmias is the source of internal health locus of control. • The results yielded in an inverse correlation between emotional intelligence in its two dimensions (after the efficiency of the general positive mood and the efficiency of the positive impression), and both were associated with the internal health locus of control, whose value was in the Pearson correlation coefficient (-0.292) (-0.356) respectively at the level of 0.01 and 0.05.en_US
