Abstract

The poetic image is one of the most important tools which capable to conveying the ideas of the creator with a way that attracts the attention of the reader . It embodies the feelings of the poet and express his thoughts , perceptions and what transforms in this universe and nature . In this study we try on the poetical works of Taki al-Din al-Srouji , for the sake to reach the desired goal we devided it into : one entrance and two chapters , The entrance firstly deals with the concept of the poetic image and its importance , then its functions . The first Chapter includes the study of types of the poetic image and extracting the applied models for these types . The Second one , we dealt with the figures of Speech in the poetical work represented in Analogy , Repetition , Metonymy and Metaphor . And extracting results through the above images . So the poetic image of all its kinds , and the representations of Rhetorical images in the poetry of Taqi al-Din al-Srouji , have many indications that show the depth of experience in the work
