dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to identify the training needs of the newly employed school and vocational guidance and counseling counselors in the light of the requirements of the profession . The problem of the study revolved around the following main question: What are the formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors in the light of profession requirements ? . The researchers used the descriptive approach for the suitability of this approach for this type of studies. The sample of the study was (70) newly employed male and female counsellors based on the comprehensive enumeration method at the School and Vocational Guidance Center in Biskra for the year (2022-2023), and to collect data a questionnaire consisting of (49) a paragraph after verifying the psychometric characteristics of the tool in terms of validity and reliability, and the following results have been reached: - The formative needs of newly employed school guidance and counseling counselors are high in the field of school information . - The formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors are high in the field of school guidance . - The formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors are high in the field of counseling and psychological and pedagogical follow-up. - The formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors are high in the field of evaluation and analysis of school results . - The formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors and counselors are high in the field of Completion of studies and investigations. - The formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance counselors are high in the field of school legislation . - The formative needs in counseling and psychological and pedagogical follow-up ranked first, followed by school media, then school guidance, evaluation and analysis of academic results, then school legislation, and finally the completion of studies and research . - There are no statistical differences in the formative needs of newly employed school and vocational guidance and counseling counselors due to the university specialization variableen_US
