Abstract: The term madness is a vague term, and the philosophical dictionaries witnessed its ambiguity. Paranoia. The term madness occupied a real position in European reality, and its symbolic form emerged in its metaphorical form with the beginning of the modern era. That is, he played an enviable role in the court and in the councils of rulers, and he began to look at it in order to open the vision on this character from another angle; he began to look at it from the angle of concern and re-consideration for this marginalized person. And Thomas Carlyle is one of the most prominent philosophers of the modern era who spoke about megalomania, so the idea of his paranoia was embodied in the hero or the great man who possesses leadership skills and is characterized by sharp intelligence and heroic courage. Distinctive talents, characteristics and extraordinary genius make him leaders, whatever the social situations he faces, as well as there are features and qualities of a great man, including honesty, honesty and intelligence; Self-confidence, responsibility, ambition and the ability to make decisions. These are the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, which Carlyle explained. That is, he has a strong and positive influence on society and others. And Carlyle considered that greatness is the result of talent and abilities that God Almighty gave him by instinct
