Abstract

This work aims to reveal the mechanisms of cultural globalization and their manifestation in the novelist Wassini Laaraj. Also, it shows the transformations that affected the traditional cultural patterns and central systems of Algerian society in particular, in addition to Arab and international societies in general. He concluded that cultural globalization is based on a centralized ethnocultural tendency and an ideological system of media, social, economic, and political. The aforementioned threatens people's culture and their national and national identity, penetrates their intellectual, doctrinal, and value systems, portends the dangers of Westernization, and ensures the continuity of civilizational conflict and cultural clash locally and globally. On the other hand, it rejects the inevitability of civilizational dialogue and acceptance of difference and cultural pluralism to build bridges of coexistence and acquaintance, and therefore the stereotyping and unification of the world according to the Western model become elusive.
