Abstract: This study aims to show the impact of the macroeconomic variables on attracting FDI inflows in Algeria during the period of )1990-2019(, through analysis and measurement using the ARDL method, The analytical study concluded that FDI inflows in Algeria have witnessed an increasing growth since the beginning of 1990's, However, that remains weak compared to the qualifications and potentials that Algeria abounds in, where most of the received foreign investments are localised in the hydrocarbon sector, which is the most important field for this kind of investments in Algeria. The standard results concluded that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the macroeconomic variables included in the model (Gross domestic product, Exchange rate, Degree of trade openness, Monetary mass) and FDI inflows inward in Algeria during of the study period. As for the estimation of the long term relationship, the study concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between each of the exchange rate, Degree of trade openness, monetary mass and incoming FDI inflows, with the exception of the gross domestic product, As for the short term, the positive and significant effect of exchange rate was only witnessed on FDI inflows in Algeria during the study period.
