dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the quality of the relationship between psychological compatibility and academic achievement of primary school students. In the light of the competency-based approach, by answering the following main question:  Is there a relationship between psychological compatibility of primary school student and academic achievement? and what is the nature of this relationship? As well as the following questions: 1- What is the level of psychological compatibility of primary school student? 2- What is the level of academic achievement of primary school student? 3- Are there any differences between primary school students in the degree of psychological compatibility related to gender (male/female)? 4- Are there any differences between primary school student’s academic achievement under the competency approach related to gender (male/female)? A set of hypotheses were formulated as provisional answers to the study's questions:  There is a positive relationship between psychological compatibility of primary school students and academic achievement under the competency-based approach. 1- The general level of psychological compatibility of primary school students is average. 2- The level of academic achievement of primary school students is high. 3- There are differences between male and female students in primary school in the degrees of psychological compatibility favouring males. 4- There are differences between male and female students in primary school in the degrees of academic achievement favouring females under the competency-based approach. This work was carried out according to the comparative descriptive method. Using a final sample of 231 fourth-year primary students. as well as the following appropriate tools chosen by the researcher:  Amani Abdel Maqsoud’s child’s psychological compatibility scale, interview, and score sheets for third trimester of the academic year 2022/2023. The study came to the following conclusions:  There is apositive relationship between psychological compatibility and academic achievement of primary school students in light of the competency approach.  Primary students have a high general level of psychological compatibility.  Primary students have a high achievement level and success rates compared to the number of repeaters.  There are differences between male and female students in primary school in the level of general psychological compatibility.  There are no differences between male and femalestudents in primary school in the level of academic achievementen_US
