dc.description.abstract | The thesis is based on an approach to the concept of identity and the other and their most prominent manifestations in the contemporary Algerian narrative body, by bringing to mind a number of selected narrative models that were taken seriously by elite writers, an interrogation of the living reality and a chronicle of events that were and are still eating away at the collective memory, such as colonialism and terrorism and the migration and alienation that resulted from them. And the threat they pose at the same time on the identity level. The presence of the other, whether resulting from the division of the self or a hostile cultural confusion, will undoubtedly raise the obsession with identity and stability in it in the face of the internal and external threats that lurk. Therefore, identity was the main driver in our novels. By bringing together a group of heroes troubled by the question of identity and difference in the face of the standards of the changing world | en_US |
