Intonation plays a major role in directing and formulating meaning, interpreting sentences, and controlling their connotations. Linguists have noticed its good effects in the sciences of sound, morphology, grammar, structures, semantics, and readings. These colorings accompanying pronunciation lead to understanding the speaker’s intent and controlling his intentions, such as questioning, negation, exclamation, sarcasm, and so on. This study aims to provide a phonetic-semantic approach to the phenomenon of intonation in the poetry collection of Elia Abi Madi. We relied on his linguistic and rhetorical aesthetics as a vocal clue that reveals the psychological meanings of the poet .en_US
