| Abstract: | The study of the primary aphid parasitoid species Lysiphlebus fabarum in the Khenchela region, between 2017 and 2020, showed that this parasitoid is active at altitudes above 800m, can parasitise 11 aphid species installed on 12 plant species and can establish 17 tri-trophic associations, with the highest emergence rate. The sex ratio showed that the population of this parasitoid is thelytoc, with three new populations recorded for the first time in the region studied and in Algeria. The morphometric analysis of 17 body characters of L. fabarum allowed them to be grouped into two categories, with the wing and leg characters having the greatest inertia. This analysis revealed the existence of four distinct populations. On the other hand, the analysis of mummy’s characteristics did not reveal any intra- or inter specific differences within the species of the same genus. The technique for extracting and purifying DNA from different L. fabrum samples is affected by certain limiting factors that should be taken into account in the next genetic study. |
