Abstract: This study focuses on the departments of Bocanda and Dimbokro at the eastcentral Côte d'Ivoire. It aims to study climate variability in these areas and show its impact on groundwater resources. Hydroclimatic data were used. Several statistical methods (reduced centered indexes, Hubert-test, Pettit-test, Mann- Kendall and Sen's tests) and balance (Thornwaithe method) were used. The application of reduced centered indexes showed a climate variability characterized by alternating periods wet, normal and dry. Statistical methods have detected some breaks happen in 1968 for Dimbokro and 1975 for M'Bahiakro and Bocanda. These breaks are accompanied with a downward trend of rainfall from 10 to 18% and the infiltrated water from 19 to 33%. These results showed existence of climate variability and its real impact on the groundwater resources of departments Bocanda and Dimbokro. They can be used to better manage their resources.
