Abstract: This study enters in the use recoverable rainwater approach as an alternative water resource of drinking water Indeed, the collection and reuse of rainwater can help to fill the water deficit and relieves pressure on water resources. In this context, we propose to conduct a study of rainfall in a public university institution with the aim of quantifying the volume of recoverable rainfall roof and characterize their physical quality in relation to their reuse in irrigation green spaces. The results show that the volume of recoverable rainwater roof can reach 2786 m3/year; pH varies between 7.7 and 8.5, and their contents of SS is 400 mg/l remaining substantially higher than water meteorites. In contrast, the levels of trace metals are low and only Zn can save an average grade of 273μg/l. This physicochemical profile appears comply with the limits Moroccan standards of irrigation water values.
