Abstract: This research seeks to reveal the writing skill, the difficulty of learning it, as well as the common mistakes in writing among primary school students in the first year as a model, and to identify the main causes of learning difficulties, leading to ways to treat these difficulties. Through my study of this topic, I drew a set of results, namely: • Writing is the first nucleus for a student's launch in the first year of primary school. • The learner must be taught writing skills because they are an important part of mastering the activity of the book. • Writing is taught in the educational system through the two mechanisms of calligraphy and dictation. Among the most important educational purposes of teaching calligraphy and dictation are: - Writing in a beautiful and clear handwriting, with good cleanliness and order of notebooks. Dictation enables the student to pay attention, listen and write at a reasonable speed. - The teacher has a big and important role in the development of information, and therefore all attention and focus must be given to writing skills
