Abstract

The present research aimed at discovering the characteristics of “Diwan of Odei Bin Zid El-Abdi” where it focused on studying language and its artistic levels. The research is divided into an introduction, preface, three practical chapters and a conclusion. We denoted, in the introduction, the poetic language compared between the Old and the Modern eras. Yet, in the first chapter, we dealt with the linguistic formations using the poetic dictionary and the structural and informative methods. For the second chapter, we discussed the poetic scene in its rhetorical cognitive aspects: analogy, metaphor, and allegory. Moreover, we dealt with its sensual scene: tactile, olfactory, visual and chromatic. Concerning the third chapter, we dealt with both internal and external poetic rhythm. In the conclusion, we displayed the obtained results.
