Abstract

Qualitative readings of western linguistics literature had led to the emergence of several Arabic speeches after which Arab linguists’ perceptions of language varied. As opposed to the tendency of prescribing fixed linguistic rules of the language system, some linguits started to offer descriptions of more language realizations influenced by the methodological and inferential principles of modern linguistics that consider the phonological, morphological and semantic variations of language. In fact, there is an urgent need for Arabic linguistics to resort to the views of modern linguistics for gaining more clarity about different language forms in the Arabic language. This study examines the newest Arabic linguistics approaches represented by modern relative linguistics by the Morocan linguist ‘Mohamed AlOraghi’ who was against the prescriptive approach of Noam Chomsky where genrative grammar is the norm. This was an attempt to level up the Arabic linguistics repertoire away from the old heritage via opting for an optimal view of language that seeks to emphasize the specificity of languages as a new elaboration of Arabic linguistics theories. This study, therefore, is an epistimological examination of Arabic constant linguistics researches as a way to develop our understanding of Arabic speech structure at the level of form, content and context with the ultimate goal to help future researchers to build on these comparisons to establish a new Arabic linguistics theory.
