Abstract: The study aims to investigate the impact of strategic planning on the performance of higher education institutions. The descriptive and analytical field approach was used. The study included a sample of administrators at the University of Mohamed Kheidar Biskra, and they numbered (50). In order to collect data, questionnaires were distributed to the sample, and a program was used. SPSS 25 statistical packages to extract results based on statistical methods, arithmetic averages and standard deviations), multiple regression analysis to test study hypotheses, and test variance One-way Anova to test for differences. The study found the most important results: 1 There is a statistically significant effect of strategic planning (strategic vision, strategic mission, strategic goals, analysis of the internal environment, analysis of the external environment, strategic choice) on the performance of higher education institutions. 2. The results indicated that the arithmetic mean of strategic planning came with a high degree. 3. The results indicated that the arithmetic mean of the performance of higher education institutions came with a high degree. 4. The strategic message dimension was the most influential among the other dimensions of strategic planning on the performance of educational institutions higher. Based on these results, the study concluded a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: - The study recommends spreading the concepts and applications of strategic planning through courses, workshops and seminars. - . The need to involve individuals in setting the strategic goals of the university, providing adequate and appropriate training programs that enable its employees to raise the standards of performance. - Preparing a clear methodology for analyzing the internal environment of the university and establishing cells that help in the analysis process to identify strengths and weaknesses of the university . - Conducting a periodic field survey to measure the community's satisfaction with the services provided.
