Abstract: | The study aimed to find out the application of strategic vigilance by the University of Mo-hamed Kheidar Biskra and its impact on its strategic decision-making. Their application at the university and their impact on strategic decision-making were tested by answering the ques-tionnaire that was used as a tool for the study, as it tried to target deans of faculties, their dep-uties, heads of departments, and some other administrative leaders. It was distributed to (33) individuals between (28 May) to (1 June). The study concluded that there is an effect of stra-tegic vigilance in its various dimensions (technological, peripheral, competitive, and commer-cial vigilance) on strategic decision-making at a significant level of (0.05), as strategic vigi-lance explained (62.2%) of the variance in the strategic decision, and explained its dimensions (technological, peripheral, and competitive vigilance as well as commercial vigilance) respec-tively (48.6%), (38.7%), (53.3%), (42.6%) of the strategic decision variance, and the results concluded that the level of adoption by Muhammad Kheidar University of strategic vigilance and strategic decision is a high level. Among the variables emanating from them, especially in institutions of higher education, given that the quality of their decisions is strongly reflected - directly or indirectly - on the competence of students. |
