Abstract

The thesis, according to what was stated in its title entitled “Terminology of Sciences and Arts,” examines the issue of Arabic terminology and its problems presented in the linguistic lesson. Where Arabic terminology witnessed fundamental transformations and development in its structures and cognitive concepts. With the criticism witnessed by these terms, and the tendency of terminologists to Westernize structures and meanings, to the point that Westernization and foreignization became their norm in terminology, as well as the lack of adherence to the morphological, phonetic, and intellectual controls of the Arabic language, the opposite of what the early linguists followed. During my study of the Arabic language, I noticed many obstacles that prevent its development, keeping pace, and contact with living reality.
