Abstract

This research, that entitled “The Artistic Structure in the Poetical Works of Mohamed Jarboua,” aimed to analyze the levels of artistic construction at the poetic works of one of the most important contemporary Algerian poets (Mohamed Jarboua). The research focused on six poetry collections by the poet: “The Tablet”, “The Destiny of his love”, “Then he was silent!!”, “Rain Contemplating the cat from its window”, “Who signed this red button?”. To achieve the research objectives, we relied on the structural approach in order to to analyze the aesthetics of the internal and external artistic structure at the poetry text. The research was divided into three chapters. We devoted the first chapter to the linguistic structure. It contained the title threshold structure, the syntactic structure, the morphological structure, and the linguistic lexicon. While the second chapter dealt with the construction of the poetic image, and it contained the construction of the global and partial images (simile, exchange of perception fields, sensory correspondence, paradox, and mixing contradictions, and image sources). The third chapter revealed the architectural structure, and it investigated in three structures (dramatic, visual, and rhythmic). The conclusion included the results of the research, which focused on the features of the artistic structure of the poet 'Mohamed Jarboua' and its most important characteristics. It also presented a set of suggestions related to the research topic
