Abstract: The Fuel cell electrical vehicles use hydrogen to generate the electric power necessary to traction. They have the advantage of being clean (zero gases emission), silent, cleaning and efficient.... But the use of FC alone as energy source suffers from many problems: limit dynamic response, slow starting, it cannot capture the braking energy regeneration, and have a shortening lifetime, where the interest in hybridization with an auxiliary source. This hybrid system requires an adequate energy management, in order to meet the needs for the load while respecting the imposed constraints. The aim of our work, is the power distribution management between a fuel cell stack and a storage element in order to ensure the power demand in a hybrid vehicle. The goal is to minimize the hydrogen consumption on a given cycle. The problem is formulated as a global optimization problem under constraints. A modeling and a dimensioning of the hybrid system and its various elements are carried out followed by simulations of the energy management strategies selected. Tests were validated on an experimental test bench on reduced scale.
